PMO Security Risk Management is lead by William van Heerden, a registered independent safety and security consultant since 2009. Since then, safety and security consultancies have been carried out in more than 53 countries.
We primarily serve the non-profit sector, specifically humanitarian organizations. Expertise: Our experience reaches back to 1994. Before specializing in safety and security, William held senior positions at a variety of INGO and IO’s. As a delegate of the International Red Cross Movement for 12 years, Incident investigator and safety and security advisor on country, global and regional level, the expertise to assist and advise upon any security issue you may be confronted with is there.
William van Heerden is leading PMO Security Risk Management. William is a registered independent safety and security consultant since 2009. He has carried out several types of safety and security trainings, including HEATs, for NGOs for 20 years. He has also been a global security advisor for several NGOs across the globe, helping organizations navigate security incidents and crisis management.
Sophie Buur is specialized in International Humanitarian Law and its usage in safety and security for NGOs. She also coordinates and develops trainings with William and is a trainer. She has previous experience administrating and coordinating safety and security trainings, including HEATs, for a major NGO. On top of that, she has a Master’s in International Security and Law with a focus on Domestic Terrorist Threats.
Diana van Heerden is specialized in Project management and managing partner of PMO-Excellence. Diana has vast international experience in the profit and non-profit sector and holds a Master’s in International Business Administration with focus on cross-cultural impact.
