Who?

Praeventia is part of a consortium between William van Heerden, and other like-minded INGO Risk Management Consultants.

Why?

The consortium’s objective is to accomplish a higher level of security awareness and preparedness for national staff of humanitarian organizations. Over the years humanitarian organizations have put in a better effort to fulfill their duty of care towards national staff members. There remains, however, a significant disbalance between available training for international versus national staff. This while the statistical risk for harm for a national staff member is about 6 times higher than for an international staff member.*

How?

We strive for a maximum of INGO staff, to receive the minimum of security training in line with the context, they are working in. Praeventia offers high-level training on location with any INGOs time and budget limitations in mind.
